Carmine Mistichelli is the Chief Operating Officer / Partner of Fidelity Building Services Group®, parent company of Benchmark Automation & Controls. Carmine joined the organization in 1997 as a field team member, learning the fundamentals of Fidelity as well as the HVAC industry. His experience in the field spans more than 20 years.

In his current role at Fidelity BSG, Carmine oversees day-to-day business operations, provides short- and long-term strategic planning and manages business development opportunities by working with investors, developers, owners and management companies of various sizes and complexities..

Carmine’s ingenuity in business and commitment to providing customers with world-class service has secured the organization as a leader in the HVAC and mechanical services industries. His business acumen and management skills have contributed to the company’s growth throughout the Mid-Atlantic region..

An avid philanthropist, Carmine was the 2017 recipient of the Salvation Army of Central Maryland’s Community Commitment Award. He is also a donor to the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) and served on the Board of Directors at the United Way of Central Maryland. He currently serves on the board of the Community College of Baltimore County’s (CCBC) HVAC program..

Carmine graduated Cum Laude from Strayer University with a Bachelor of Science in Business. In 2017, he earned a Certificate of Professional Development in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania..

Vice President

As Vice President, Brian Smedley's primary focus is to provide oversight of the day-to-day operations of Benchmark Automation & Controls. In his role he helps provide sales guidance, spearheads strategic growth initiatives, and works closely with his team to promote a strong culture focused on safely installing and servicing integrated and intelligent building management systems.

A graduate of the York Technical Institute, Brian first started as an HVAC Service Technician in 1994, and over the subsequent decades has developed a thorough understanding of Energy Management, Building Automation, and Mechanical Systems.

In the early 2000’s, Brian joined and made pivotal contributions to the Business Development team at Fidelity Mechanical Services and was instrumental in the launch of Benchmark Automation & Controls. Throughout his career, Brian has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to continuous learning and setting new challenges for himself, reflected in his recent acquisition of a certificate in Executive Leadership from Cornell University.

Controls Service Manager

Mike Tereo serves as the Controls Service Manager for Benchmark Automation & Controls, a Fidelity Building Services Group® (Fidelity BSG) company. In this role, Mike manages day-to-day operations, provides support to the Business Development team, oversees engineering projects, and supports project management. Because of his early involvement in DDC Controls, Mike has been instrumental in growing this sector of Fidelity BSG’s business.

Mike has been a member of the Fidelity BSG family for 30 years and has nearly 40 years of industry experience. Prior to Benchmark, Mike proudly served our country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.
