Project Description
In 2016, Cornerstone Chapel opened the doors to its state-of-the-art worship/educational facility that sits on a 30-acre site in the Town of Leesburg. Merritt Construction Services retained Benchmark Automation & Controls to design and implement Cornerstone Chapel’s control system.
Benchmark installed the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure Controls system to maintain temperature, humidity and building pressure conditions for various auditoriums, classrooms, event rooms and the sanctuary. The system was designed and engineered to provide Cornerstone with easy accessibility on- and off-site to control, monitor and adjust set points and time schedules as the facility demands require.
The project was finished in October 2016, and included a sanctuary with 2,000 seats, numerous youth worship areas, a wedding chapel, nursery, café, common area, and office space. The state-of-the-art Building Automation system is designed to simplify day-to-day operations, provide easy access to system-critical information and optimize equipment operation for comfort and energy savings. It also provides native open-protocol communications to third-party vendors with future expansion capabilities.
Benchmark’s expertise and unparalleled level of service ensured the project was completed on time and within budget.
